Fashion Show!

I posted a while ago pics of the fabric i said i was going to use.
After a million years of preparation and stress i decided to change it all up.
The theme of the show was to use recycled clothes and make something new out of it, i was thinking of doing something totally different.
Then finally i came to my senses and got started using different fabrics i could find from different places and using them for something totally different for what they were intended for.

These are some pics my models took backstage:
Photobucket

And:
Photobucket

This was the first model that walked out, but since i didnt get to take the pics the only pic i got of him is this one when we are all walking out and I'm behind the models:
Photobucket

This was on the back of the vest:
Photobucket
I actually used some blanket i got from my job that was on clearance to make the vest and i bought the stuff to make the shoelace holes in the first. The shirt was actually white died yellow and the tie was made bye me using some fabric i bought!

This was the second model which i found his design to be the best looking and the most fun to make:
Photobucket
I actually used 2 pair of slacks size 50(lmfao) and made the whole top and scarf with the fabric and i still had plenty to spair! And the pants were some pajama pants i found that i actually slimmed down and for the top i made the shoe lace holes on the sides!

The third model didnt have any pics taken of him due to the person i let borrow my camera not really knowing how to use it. But if you look at the previous pics he's the one with the hood/scarf with the white t-shirt.
His Design was made with an old hoody that i cut the hood off of, and i used some old pants and used the legs as the scarf!

The last model actually got to be on tv about a week ago with my design on which was pretty amazing, his design was made of a blanket as the first model had but different color. His shirt was bleached and i added the patch on it and the pants were died purple and i added some bleach streaks and i did the patch on it too.
Photobucket
And the back of the vest was made with a whole bunch of material stitched together like a quilt:
Photobucket
Ooooopsssss there i go!!

For the show 80 percent of the clothing had to be reconstructed from something else or used old and altered to new. All pants were slimmed down for better fitting.

That was the show!
It was amazing and i got alot of compliments (felt weird having random people come up to me!)
It was packed in there, too.
Alot of people went!

ENJOY!!!
PEACE!
P.S. My models walked to Kanye West's Diamonds!!!

The Fashion Show!!

Well as I write this I am behind the curtains of the club we got rented for the day, which is called Dolce Ulta Loung, and I'm waiting on my models to arrive.
Everyone is getting their stuff together and the models are getting their hair and make up done.
I'm extremely nervouse for this being my first show and I really hope I get the oppurtunity to do more in the future.
Wish me luck and I will post the pics my friends take( since I'm gonna always be behind the curtains.
Peace!!!!

The "GAY" Stereotype in fashion...

During work today i decided to go on my phone and look up certain things while i was on break and i came across some article which i know alot off you are familiar with.
It has to do with Kanye West moving to London on that internship he's doing to pursue his love for fashion.
Under the article people left comments which to me i found offensive not only because i feel as if Kanye is a great artist, but for the fact that people were talking about him coming out the closet and shit about him being gay.
The offence i took was for the fact that people have created a stereotype about all fashion designers are gay.
And thats something i can relate to 'cause people automatically think i am gay becuase i choose to use my artistic ability into another direction and i know how to use a sewing machine.
So because a guy decides he likes clothing and is into style and creating he's automatically gay?
But all you fags that claim to be fly and all that shit aint gay but ya'll care just as much about your appearance as the person that makes the whack shit you got on. But a guy can pluck his eybrows and look girly but not be labeled gay but once a masculine dude touches a sewing machine he's labeled right away.
The whole point was to show that just 'cause Kanye is choosing to take his creativity else wear doesn't make him gay. Also, just 'cause a guy likes to design clothes doesn't make him gay neither.

More thoughts:
So from what i have come to conclude, Fashion is only for chicks and gays right?
So only a person with a feminine touch or point of view can dress others and use a sewing machine, right?
Fuck the world!!!

-this post probably was shitty but whatever my thoughts my opinion.
Fuck YOU!

Deck Painting!

Enjoy!
Photobucket
I ended up getting really mad the other day and decided that the best way to get rid of that was to focus(break) my board. It was pretty stupid and I been regretting it for a few days now, but something good came out of it.
I woke up yesterday and decided to use the remaining paint that I used on my bike to paint the whole deck black but ended up running out in the bottom. Around the hair area i used the white and where the teeth are i also sprayed it white. It took a while to actually finish since I had to go to work but its done now.

The process...

I have started on the designs for the show, as of today I have 2 pieces done.
Pictures will go up later on when some of them are complete, but as of now this is the fabric that will be used for the first 2 outfits I am creating:
Photobucket
The orange was used to make a scarf that will go together with the plaid material which I am using to make another one of the sweater/shirts but this one will have full sleeves.
The light blueish material is for a vest.
You can't really see it but it has a weird woven texture on that fabric.

It started with me waking up, getting ready for work, driving there, and working.
During my break I went down the street to Target and I bought and devowered this:
Photobucket
It was very satisfying.
And tonight I will begin the first few pieces for the show!
I will post pictures of what I have started.
Basically before and after pics.

Plaid Shirt!

Construction for the Fashion Show I'm going to be part of has started as of last week.
This is a piece that is going to be include but I'm going to make another one.
Heres a picture of it pinned together:
Photobucket
After a few days of procrastinating and just having it pinned and running out of material and buying more I ended up with this:
Photobucket
It fit perfect for me (since I measured myself) and I'm going to actually just make a whole wardrobe for myself after the shows over with.
Peace!

Heartless!?

Schwinn!!

Yesterday driving home from class i decided to stop by the Salvation Army to check out some bikes since I've been wanting one for quite some time.
Once I stepped out the car I spotted this one:
Photobucket
The thing about this bike was that it was actually pink and purple, I think it was a girl bike.
Once I got home I took off the wheels and i actually spraypainted it.
First a coat of white then a coat of black.
I don't know how old it really is, but I know i can officially say I love it!!!

It cost me about $20+ and it brings a smile to my face!

NeckFace!

You never see his face, his work isn't what a typical graffiti artist would do, and he just doesn't give a shit.
Which that's really why I like him!
There's alot you can say about NeckFace.
But a few things I can say are:
1.Genius
2.Great Artist
3.Original

I've described him in the best way I can, but I'll let his work do the talking.

He went from graffiti artist, to actually selling his art, to even having his work on skateboards and shoes.
It doesn't matter if you like his work or not.
I do!
And that's all that matters to me!

PEACE!

Video of the Night

To end the night, I will end with a video of the artist of my last blog.
Enjoy!!
Kanye West- Through The Wire!

Kanye West

I found this pic in some yahoo news: NY Fashion Week's Best and Worst Dressed.
And it said this in the captions:"Although Kanye West is considered one of the most fashion-forward celebs today, for a minute we thought this was Urkel."

LOL!
Photobucket

But to be honest take away the glasses, the weird pose, and that backpack, then you would have a nicely worn garment.

Only my opinion,
PEACE!

Skate Flicks!

These here are certain skate vids that I'm anxiously waiting for that haven't been released and if I'm wrong and some have been released, then vids that I'm anxious to buy!

Flip's: Extremely Sorry

Alien Workshop's: Mind Field

Black Label's: God Save The Label

Emerica's: Stay Gold
Sorry I couldn' find a video for this one.

And do to my ignorance in what is going on in the world those are the only videos coming out soon that i know about.
Peace!

This is a tribute from his Matix team.
Enjoy!

Etro!

Almost a year ago, for some reason, i got really into designing clothes.
In that process I started looking at some famous designer's work.
One in particular (which is not a designer anymore, but turned into a brand basically) that stood out was a brand name Etro.
I don't really know why but the creativity used in the designs is eye catching and inspirational.

Just another day!

Yesterday was a normal day at school, went to my classes, turned in projects(which I will post one up soon). Till I happen to see a big crack on my windshield(which I will be posting a pic of that soon too). It was weird 'cause I'm more of a loner in that school so really no problems with anyone and whatever hit it must've hit it hard 'cause the size of it was pretty big.
I just thought I should share that with my peeps.
Peace!
P.S.
The reason I will post them later is 'cause I'm writing this threw my fone..

Futura 2000

A while back I started going to a website called http://www.futura2000.com/.
It was a weird site and kinda complicated to navigate threw. I can't remember where I got it from, but anyways, it shows some photography skills from the well know graffiti artist I mentioned in my last blog.
If your into photography (not that I'm into it like that) you should check it out.
It has daily updates!

Clarks Wallabees x Futura 2000

Well I was online a few days ago looking for a pair of Clarks Wallabees:
Photobucket
When I stumbled upon these:
Photobucket
These are a colabo with Clarks Wallabees and the well known graffiti artist Futura2000.
I honestly don't know when they were released(if they were released) or even how much they are, but if theres anyone that can give me info on where I can purchase these and a price I would really appreciated it!
Update: Those are the Clarks Wallabees "Chinese Dragon", from what I've read up one source gave me information about it being a Futura colabo but the others don't mention him. And I have found a Japanese website that does carry them, thus its completely Japanese so purchasing may be a tad bit difficult.

These are actual Futura colabos though!:
Photobucket

And also these:
